In short
How a Miami windshield gets replaced with us
Bang AutoGlass of Miami is a mobile crew, so there is no shop to drive to on a cracked windshield. Ring our Miami number, (305) 677-8371, or text a picture of the damage to (877) 350-5962. We look up the glass your car was built with, go over your coverage if insurance is paying, and set a time between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Saturday.
Our Miami Google profile carries 359 reviews, read on October 16, 2026. The towns we reach in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, with their ZIP codes, are on the Miami service area page.
The appointment
Your Miami install, start to finish
Part lookup
From the VIN we see whether your windshield holds a camera mount, a rain sensor, an acoustic layer or a heads-up display. The technician arrives with that same part.
Building access
Condo and office garages usually want a vendor cleared ahead of time. Give us the building, the level and the front desk's number, and tell the association we are coming.
A dry frame
Urethane bonds to clean, dry metal. Between late May and mid-October we plan around the afternoon storms, and a covered spot keeps the slot on time.
Glass out, glass in
The old windshield is cut free, the opening is cleaned and primed, and the new one is set in fresh urethane, usually in 30 to 45 minutes.
Camera and drive-away
A forward camera gets calibrated in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site. You get a safe-to-drive time before the technician leaves.
Beyond the windshield
Side, rear and roof glass as well
Windshields come first for us. The same mobile visit can replace a door window, the back glass or a sunroof as well.
- Door glass
Smashed side window
Tempered side glass bursts into cubes. We fit the new window and vacuum the pieces out of the door panel and the seats.
- Back glass
Rear window
Sedan, SUV hatch or pickup slider, with the defroster grid and any antenna lead reconnected.
- Sunroof
Sunroof and glass roof
Tilt panels and fixed panoramic roofs. If the motor or the track is the problem, we tell you to see a sunroof mechanic.
- Calibration
Driver-assist camera
Lane-keep and emergency braking look through the windshield, so the camera is set to the maker's specifications after new glass.
South Florida roads
What cracks windshields around Miami
West of Hialeah Gardens sits the Lake Belt, where limestone is quarried. Rock trucks run from there along Okeechobee Road toward Medley and the airport, and FDOT is rebuilding about ten miles of that road between the Broward line and the Palmetto, with work scheduled to run until fall 2032. Loose stone and construction grit on a busy freight route is how a lot of chips start.
North of the city, FDOT has been rebuilding the Golden Glades Interchange, where I-95, the Palmetto, the Turnpike and US 441 meet, since 2024. Add heat soak in a parked car and a blast of cold air from the vents, and a small chip can run across the glass in a day. The Miami windshield page lists the work zones and how we schedule around the rainy season.

Miami windshield questions
Ask us directly on our Miami line, (305) 677-8371, or text a photo to (877) 350-5962.
What does a windshield replacement cost in Miami?
It comes down to what is built into the glass. A camera mount, a rain sensor, a heads-up display or sound-damping layers each change the part. Send the year, make and model, or the VIN, and you get a price for that exact windshield before anything is booked. If insurance is paying, we check your coverage first.
Can you replace a windshield in my condo garage in Sunny Isles or Aventura?
Usually. Clear it with the front desk or the association, then tell us the level, the space number and the height limit. The technician needs room to open both front doors and to carry the glass to the car.
Will you still come during the rainy season?
Yes. Rain cannot reach the frame while the glass is out, so a garage, a carport or a covered space is the best place for a summer afternoon slot. Without cover, we book earlier in the day or move the time with you if a storm is coming.
Do you go as far as Homestead and Florida City?
Yes. Both are on our Miami service area, along with the rest of the towns listed on the service area page, from Florida City in the south to West Palm Beach in the north.
How long until I can drive the car?
The technician gives you a safe-to-drive time when the job is done. It depends on the urethane, the heat and the humidity that day, so there is no fixed number.
